Deception in the Urdu translation of Sunan ibn Majah in respect of Imam Ali (as) representing Rasulullah (s)

When a head of state designates someone to exclusively represent him, it implies a strong vote of confidence in that individual's capabilities and suitability for leadership. This can be evidenced logically with examples:

Trust and Confidence: In political contexts, leaders typically choose representatives whom they trust implicitly. This trust extends beyond mere loyalty and suggests that the chosen individual possesses qualities and competencies that align with the goals and values of the head of state. For instance, if a president appoints a vice president to exclusively represent them at important diplomatic meetings, it signals to the international community that the vice president is not only trusted but also capable of effectively articulating and advancing the president's agenda.

Succession Planning: Designating an exclusive representative can serve as a form of succession planning, especially in situations where the head of state may be incapacitated or unavailable. By entrusting someone with the authority to represent them exclusively, the head of state is essentially signaling to their constituents and the broader political establishment that this individual is a natural choice for succession. For example, if a monarch designates their eldest son as the exclusive representative during their absence, it implies that the son is being groomed for future leadership and enjoys the monarch's full support.

Continuity of Governance: Effective governance requires continuity, especially during transitions of power. Designating an exclusive representative ensures that there is a seamless continuation of leadership in the head of state's absence or incapacity. This continuity is crucial for maintaining stability and confidence in government institutions. For instance, if a prime minister designates a deputy prime minister to exclusively represent them during official overseas visits, it ensures that diplomatic relations and policy initiatives remain uninterrupted even when the prime minister is abroad.

Symbolic Significance: The act of designating an exclusive representative can also have symbolic significance, demonstrating to both domestic and international audiences the chosen individual's standing within the government hierarchy. It can elevate their status and legitimacy, paving the way for potential future leadership roles. For example, if a president designates a minister of foreign affairs as the exclusive representative for an important international summit, it underscores the minister's importance in shaping foreign policy and enhances their profile on the world stage.

In conclusion, when a head of state designates someone to exclusively represent them, it logically suggests that the chosen individual is perceived as a capable and trustworthy successor, poised to assume greater leadership responsibilities in the future. This decision carries weight not only in terms of practical governance but also in signaling broader political intentions and plans for succession.

With this in mind, we f read in Sunan Ibn Majah hadith number 119
It was narrated that Hubshi bin Junadah said:

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: ''Ali is part of me, and I am part of him, and no one will represent me except 'Ali.'"

This statement implies a special relationship between Prophet Muhammad (s) and Imam Ali (as), suggesting that Ali (as) has a unique role in representing the Prophet (s). Logically, this exclusivity in representation could only manifest in a position of authority that succeeds Prophet Muhammad (s), namely, as the head of state leading the Ummah. Since representation involves more than just personal affiliation but also entails the responsibility to lead and make decisions on behalf of the Prophet (s), Imam Ali's designation as the exclusive representative logically aligns with his role as the successor to Prophet Muhammad in guiding the Muslim community.

This narration poses a significant challenge for the Ahl'ul Sunnah clergy, given its implications. While they attempt to offer their interpretations, Imam Ali's exclusive designation raises questions about Abu Bakr's succession as the Head of State. It's no surprise that we see deliberate attempts to conceal this truth, evident in actions like the Urdu translator of Sunan Ibn Majah omitting crucial words:

"and no one will represent me except 'Ali'."
