Allamah Ismaeel Basha Baghdadi (d. 1339) records about this great Shaf’ii scholar:
Al-Hafar Muhammad bin Talha bin al-Hassan bin Muhammad bin al-Hafar al-Qurshi al-Adawei kamaluddin Abu Salim al-Nasebini, the Shafii minister, was born in year 582 and died in year 652.
From his authorship Tahsil al-Maram fi Tafdeel al-Salat ala al-Siam, al-Jafr al-Jame’a, Mesbah al-Nur al-Lame’a, al-dur almunadam fi al-esm al-adham, Zubdat al-musanafat fi al-asm’a wa al-sefat, Zubdat al-maqal fi al-ashab wa al-a’al, al-Aqed al-Farid Lelmalik al-Saeed, Matalib al-Su’al fi Manaqib al-Rasool, Meftah al-falah fi etiqad ahl alsalah, Nefa’es al-anaser lemjales al-melek al-naser (Salah al-deen).

1076: Muhammad bin Talha bin Muhammad bin al-Hassan al-Sheikh Kamaluddin Abu Salim al-Qurashi al-Adawei al-Nasebini:
The author of al-Aqed al-Farid. Was born in year 582. Studied jurisprudence and excelled in ‘madhab’, he heard hadith in Nesabur from al-Muayad al-Tusi and Zainab al-Sh’aria, he narrate hadith in Halab and Damascus.
Al-hafiz al-Dumyati and Majiduddin Ibn al-A’adam narrated (hadith) from him. He was noble and become a minister in Damascus for two days, but he quit and gave up all the cloths, slaves etc in his possession and become an ascetic
Ibn Talha died in the 17th of rajab in year 652.

Muhammad al-Nusaibi (582 – 652) (1186 – 1254) Muhammad bin Talha bin Muhammad bin al-Hassan al-Qurashi al-Adawi al-Nusaibi al-Shaf’ii (known as kamaluddin , Abu Salim), muhadith, jurist, Usooli, learned man in knowledge of alphabets and symbols. He heard (hadith) in Nisabur from al-Muayed and Zainab al-Sha’aria, he was a arbitrator in Nusaibin, then a preacher in Damascus, he become an ambassador for the kings and become a master and prevailed. He narrated (hadith) in many countries and was appointed as minister, though he apologized and disavow from (minister’s position) but they rejected his apology, so he took the position for two days. Then he secretly escaped and left the money, he went to Hajj and stayed in Damascus for a while, then he moved to Halab and there he died in the month of Rajab.
Among his books: al-Aqed al-Farid, al-Jafr al-Jame’a wa al-Noor al-Lame’a, Nefaes al-Anaser Lemajales al-Malek al-Nasir fi al-Akhlaq wa al-Saltana wa al-Sharyia.

“al-Jafr al-Jame’a wa al-noor al-Lame’a” by Sheikh Kamaluddin Abi Salim Muhammad bin Talha al-Nusibi al-Shafeei, who is died in year 652, (the book) is in a small volume, the beginning of it is praise to Allah who enlighten whom he chose. etc
He mentioned in it that the Imams from Jafar’s sons know al-Jafr, so he chose from their secrets in this book.

Allamah Ibn Imaad Hanbali (1032 to 1089) records in his authority work “Shadraat al-Dhahab”:
Muhammad bin Talha bin Muhammad bin al-Hassan kamal al-deen Abu Salim al-Qurshi, al-Adawi al-Nusibi al-Shafii, the traveler, mufti, the author of “al-Aqed al-Farid” and one of the nobles and the great bosses, he was born in the year 582, he heard (hadith) in Nisabur from al-Muayed and Zainab al-Sha’rya, he studied jurisprudence and excelled in it, Usool and debate, he become an ambassador for the kings and become a master, he narrates (hadith) in many countries, in year 648 he was appointed as a minister, but he apologized and disavow, but they rejected his apology, so he took the position and after two days he escaped secretly and left the money and the properties, he wore a cloth made from cotton and left, it is not known where he went but some says he used the knowledge of alphabets and symbols in order to know the unseen, some says that he returned back, he authored “al-dur al-Munadam fi esm Allah al-adham”, in Nusaibin (town) he initially become a judge and then in Damascus, when he became ascetic, he went to Hajj, then he stayed in Damascus for a while then he moved to Halab and died there in the month of Rajab.

Allamah Siddiq bin Hasan Khan al-Qanuji (d. 1307) records in his authority work “Abjad al-Uloom”:
Ibn Talha said: Al-Jafr and Al-Jame’a are two great books, one of them (al-Jame’a) Imam Ali bin Abi Talib narrated it when he was addressing on the pulpit in al-Kufa, the other (book) the Holy Prophet (pbuh) report it to him (Imam Ali) and ordered him to write it down in a separate fonts as chapter “Adam” in al-Jafr on a paper made of camel’s skin, this (book) become popular among the people because they found in it stories about past etc.
We further read:

After al-Daulwi, he took charge of Khitabat of Dhamishq and after getting removed he went to an island and took charge of Naseben’s Qaza. Then he went to Halab and there he died that year. Abu Shamah has stated that he was a learned scholar. He was called to take charge of ministry but he rejected and that was for Allah. May Allah have mercy upon him.
