All praise is for the Lord of the Worlds, whose praise cannot be duly paid. And millions of blessings and peace be upon those blessed beings (Prophets and their family) for whom the blessing (of sending prayers) was created.
Undoubtedly, it is by the grace and benevolence of the Self-Sufficient Allah (swt) of my time that He has bestowed upon a humble person like me the honor of translating a concise book comprising the biography of the mother of the Wali (Imam), peace be upon her. However much I thank the Lord of Glory for this privilege, it is less. Although this book is nothing compared to the status of the Mother of the Imam, it is, in any case, better than nothing. This book has been published by the Department of Religious Affairs, Research and Studies Branch of the Holy Abbasid Shrine.
In this book, Sheikh Ahmad Salman has presented an analysis of several aspects of the character of the Lady of the Maidservants (title of the mother of Imam al-Mahdi) and has openly critiqued and commented on some matters that were quite famous about this “lady.” In this brief writing, he has discussed the multiplicity of the names of the lady, her original homeland, and her status and position as described by the Ahl al-Bayt (members of the Prophet’s household). Then he described her role after the martyrdom of Imam Hasan Askari (a.s.) in terms of her striving (jihad) and supporting the Imam of the Time (Imam Mahdi). Please note I have made some additions to the translation to strengthen some points further.
I pray to ALLAH to accept the efforts of the author of the book and reward him for every letter in it with the best of rewards. And if there is any error or omission, may He forgive it. Along with that, may He accept this humble translation service of mine. And if there is any unintentional deficiency in it, then after forgiving it, grant me nearness to the Imam of the Time (may ALLAH hasten his appearance), along with his companions.
May Allah forgive our errors, and accept our intention, and bless Prophet Muhammad (s) and his immaculate household.
(The humble servant of the Ahl’ul Bayt (as), Syed Vakas Ul Haq Bukhari Naqavi Kashmiri)
