Ibn Taimiya’s open lie that the Hadith ‘he (Ali) is the guardian of every believer after me’ is a lie, falsely attributed to the Prophet (s)

Lying is habit that has been one of the attributes of the Nawasib, that dates from whence they selected a leader who had the audacity to lie right before the Mistress of the women ofParadise(as). Ibn Tamiyah, the legendary scholar of the Nawasib excelled in this field, particularly when it came to the merits of Ali bin Abi Talib (as). At one point, he had audacity to even claim:

وكذلك قوله : ” هو ولي كل مؤمن بعدي ” كذب على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم

Similarly as regards to the saying that ‘HE IS WALI OF EVERY MO’MIN AFTER ME’ it is a lie attributed to the Holy Prophet (s)’

  1. The lie advanced by Ibn Tamiyah even shocked one of his clergy adherents Nasiruddin Al-Albaani who, after ample discussion on the authenticity of the said Hadith stated:

“It is really strange that Sheikh ul Islam Ibn Tamiyah dared to deny this hadith and deemed it a lie in his book Minhaj al-Sunnah”

  1. The Hadith is recorded in Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal and in the footnote, Shaykh Ahmad Muhammad Shakir has commented on this Hadeeth:

’The chain of this hadeeth is Sahih, and Yazid Al-Rashq is Ibn Abi Yazid and he is Thiqa amongst all scholars as said before. This hadeeth was also narrated by Al-Tirmdhi  in the chapter of Fadhail Ali (merits of Ali) who said that it is Hassan Gharib and is unknown other than the hadeeth of Ja’far Ibn Sulaiman and Al-Hakim who graded it is Sahih as per the standards of Muslim and Al-Dhahabi confirms it.

  1. Al-Hakim has made the following declaration regarding the Hadith under discussion:

“This hadeeth contains a Sahih chain but Bukhari and Muslim have not recorded it”.

Not only this, but Dhahabi also decalred it Sahih.

  1. Imam al-Hafiz Abi Ya’la al-Musali also recorded this hadith in his Musnad whereas in the footnote, Husain Saalim Assad stated:

The narrators of this hadeeth are Authentic!, Ibn Hibban recognizes it as Sahih through Abi Yahla… and it is narrated also by Ahmad in Al-Musnad, Al-Tirmdhi in the chapter of Merits of Ali through  Ja’far Ibn Sulaiman, by this chain of narrators. Al-Hakim said that it is Sahih and Dhahabi has confessed to it’.
