Ahmad bin Hanbal (Died 241 AH) narrated :
حدثنا وكيع، حدثنا شعبة، عن الحر بن الصياح، عن عبد الرحمن بن الأخنس، قال: خطبنا المغيرة بن شعبة فنال من علي رضي اللهُ عنه….
Abdur Rahman bin Al-Akhnas said :
Mugheera bin Sho’uba gave us sermon and he abused Ali Ibn Abi Talib…..
Abu Dawud Sijastani (Died 275 AH) quoted the same narration but changed the text to this :
أنه كان في المسجد فذكر رجلٌ علياً رضي الله عنه
Abdur Rahman bin Al-Akhnas said :
He was in Mosque, A man mentioned Ali.
