Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (r) narrates:
We (the Companions) were present with the Prophet (s), and while mentioning Dajjal, the Prophet (s) said:
“Your fitnah is more fearsome to me than the fitnah of Dajjal.”

The Sunni Imam, Shams al-Din al-Dhahabi, quoting from Al-Ma‘rifah wa al-Tarikh, records:
Hudhayfah (r) said:
“If Dajjal emerges, the person who will follow him will be the one who loves Uthman.”

Observation:
- The fitnah of certain individuals will be greater than that of Dajjal.
- Whoever loves Uthman will follow Dajjal when he appears.
- Both narrations are from the keeper of the secret of the Messenger of Allah (s), Hudhayfah (r), who in other narrations had forewarned him of future tribulations.
